Okay, it looks like the photos didn't publishf in the order I uploaded them. Photo 1 is the view, 2 is sophie (yes I know it's sideways) and 3 and 4 are at the tea plantation, if 4 displays for you. I also seem to be able to pick up gmail and access blogger, but not get into my other email, facebook etc. Oh well, tomorrow is another day as I am writing this in the hotel Tuesday evening waiting for a glass of wine.
Had 2 glasses of wine and was then told that there was no more left - apparently I had drunk the bar dry?! However, disaster was averted and they found another glass, but it was a bit like pulling teeth, so went to bed after the third.
After breakfast and trying to convince the tour guides that I don't need a doctor (still not breathing very well) we started on our drive to Kular Lumpar. We stopped at a waterfall and also near an village of indiuous people. Then on to the cave, or so we thought! Unfortunately our driver made a rooky mistake and filled his petrol tank with diesel, so we ended up sitting on the side of the road with our luggage waving at the traffic. Luckily he managed to clear it out and after a while we were off again, deciding to skip the cave.
Kular Lumpar means convergenge of two muddy rivers and that describes the colour of the water coming out of the tap, now wondering what the colour of the shower water is going to be! And for interest a few photos of the view from the window which is China Town. Spotted a bar over the road advertising wine, so Sophie and I are going to check it out, whilst everyone else does the walking tour - sounds like a Dickerson plan to me.
