Hoi An and Photos - Thursday 3rd November

Finally two minutes to rub together and I have Lucy and Lee's computer - so I might actually be able to catch you all up and post some photos!

Where was I? Oh yes, Wedesday, the day after the bike ride and I'm not as stiff as I thought I would be. We had an early wake up this morning to get on a public bus to travel from Hue to Hoi An. Wasn't as bad as I thought and we stopped half way and I finally saw the sea :)

Adding the photos has made me remember that I probably owe you some, so will add some more at the bottom from previous days. In the meantime ...

(Not sure what Lee's doing in this photo.) Once we arrived in Hoi An we had a walking tour of the Old City, and yes we did stop for lunch - I'm eating so well I shall put on even more weight. (God that photo above is awful!) Then we went to the Tailors' Section of the Old City and I was in heaven. I ordered a reversible jacket which is being made to measure and I have to have a fitting later today (Thursday) and then we think they are all being delivered. Mine only cost 50 USD, but Lee on the other hand, ordered three suits and seven shirts! They were rubbing their hands with glee.

In the evening we all went to a cookery class - yes folks, not only did The Dickerson ride a bike, but she also helped cook the meal! Doesn't that hat look stupid! And before anyone asks, yes I really am handling a fish - it's dead, but it didn't half give me some dirty looks. And the 7 of us who did the cooking survived, as far as I know.

Today we have a free day. Lucy, Lee and me have to go back for a fitting, but other than that a bit of a rest planned. In fact, as I write this I'm in the hotel room and they are by the pool. I think my Singapore Sling and the sun is calling me.
