Itinerary for 2012

Okay I've been asked for this information and this is the place to post it!

Once back from Kuala Lumpur I'm at home for about a week before flying to Spain on the 13th of December.  I shall then be there until the 5th of January (I think). On the 28th of December DC will be in Spain (once he books his flight!) to celebrate a special birthday.  Expect embarrassing photos!

 The plan is then on the 11th of January to go on a Nile cruise for a week (exactly the same as the one that Jane and I had to cancel in March 2011).  Return to England over night to catch a flight to Johannesburg on the 19th of January.  Arrive in Jo'burg on the 20th.  Couple of days here, hoping to catch a mini safari, before catching a flight on the 23rd to Sydney.  Immediate transfer from Sydney to Melbourne in time for the Australian Tennis Open.  A week in Melbourne and then we pick up a tour that goes along the coast and then inland to Alice Springs, including a visit to Ayres Rock.  Flight from Alice Springs to Sydney.  Week in Sydney and then a flight on the 19th of February to Christchurch New Zealand.  We then have a month where we're going to make our own way around New Zealand on the buses ending up in Auckland on the 18th of March.  A flight via LA arrives in San Francisco on the same day (time travel is possible if you fly the other way).  We then pick up a tour in Frisco which going down the coast to LA and then inland to the Grand Canyon, Vegas, Yosemite before ending up back in Frisco to catch a flight back to England on the 3rd of April arriving in England on the 4th!

I will publish a more details itinerary once I have it, but remember, most things (apparently) are subject to change.  Well according to my "travel agent" Lee Beard anyway.

Those that know me will realise that I have a major birthday in the middle of this.  More by luck than judgment we arrive in Vegas the day before my birthday and leave 2 days later - Vegas here we come!
