Sky + finally arrived yesterday and I have to say I'm rather impressed with it. The guys who installed it talked about Anytime + and connected the internet to the box for me. I managed to register for it via the website, but nothing would appear on the television. I waited, and waited, and eventually decided that there must be a problem somewhere. I checked the ethernet cable the guys installed and found it wasn't pushed into the router correctly. Clicked it into place and voila I now have Anytime +. Apparently there's a app to allow you to record on the Sky + box via the internet - bring it on!
But anyway ... Lee finally got email confirmation of my flight to Hanoi via Singapore yesterday, so it's finally official! I start my travels next month. I'm so excited. Today's plan is to get rid of the pile of paperwork on my desk and then to do as much work on the quilt as I can without using my right shoulder - now that should be fun!
Later - I wasn't actually going to write any more here today, but the post has just arrived. My compensation claim is starting to progress. I now have to go to an examination with a "medical expert"! Apparently I have to let him "know of all the ways that the accident has affected" me. My solicitor carries on to say that I should mention everything possible even if I don't think it's related to the accident and the "expert" will decide what's is related and what isn't. Think I might mention my broken tooth! This is going to be fun isn't it. Let's just hope that we can get a date before I do all my travelling, or I might end up having to come back from Spain early :(
